Case study: Royal Northern College of Music
The Royal Northern College of Music successfully applied to the Foundation in October 2006 for support for a new wing to house a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Young Musicians.
"We are very grateful for the support we received from the Granada Foundation which formed a vital part of the funding mix for the completion of the new Oxford Road Wing of the RNCM. The Granada Foundation's support helped us to then attract money from outside the region.
We now have some of the best facilities of any conservatoire in the world and have created a landmark building which will act as a focus for Manchester's growing ambitions for Oxford Road".
